are divided for convenience into three major classes: metals, polymers
and ceramics (BOGAS, 2013). The purpose of this article is to evaluate
the quality of ceramic bricks manufactured and marketed in three
different pottery located in the city of Iranduba, in the state of
Amazonas. The most popular potteries of the industrial center of the
municipality were selected for the collection of the ceramic bricks. The quality tests (geometric characteristics, water absorption, compressive
strength and watermark) were established according to ABNT
technical standards and some literature as parameters, such as
articles, monographs, dissertations, websites, etc., to characterize the
