Abstract :
This article deals with basic sanitation and civil construction, reflecting on the basic sanitation works in the city of Manaus-AM. This paper analyzes in a bibliographical way the role of basic sanitation in the control and control of infectious-parasitic diseases in the city of Manaus-AM, thus presenting the importance of basic sanitation in the construction sector as a tool to promote public health and combat damage to the environment. the article makes use of descriptive bibliographic and exploratory research, making use of the qualitative and systemic method through content analysis to highlight the importance of basic sanitation in urban infrastructure. In this way, the research initially addresses basic sanitation as a device to combat diseases and maintain the quality of life of the population. Showing that basic sanitation in Brazil occurs through public policies implemented to ensure basic sanitation services generating various benefits to collective health. Regarding basic sanitation in the North, it presents a degrading picture of the region and the investment indexes by region and state. With respect to basic sanitation in Manaus-AM, the research makes a brief reflection of the governmental actions to provide with more frequencies activities that develop actions of infrastructure of supply and treatment of drinking water, sanitary sewage and waste management. Thus, the research highlights the importance of sanitation in the construction sector, as well as fundamental tool for the maintenance of public health, showing that the basic sanitation works in Manaus-AM is important for the control of public health maintenance, contributed to the infectious diseases.
