point in life, this is always seen as an unpleasant experience, since the
individual is removed from their family life to a hospital or emergency
room, an environment that is unknown to him who has rules and their
own routines, usually agitated and stressful, not constituting a
welcoming environment. It is very rare to find someone praising the
services provided in hospital environments, whether they are public or
private, this is because most of the services are provided with
precariousness to the population, whether in terms of materials or
resources or by the poor service and preparation of professionals operate
in the area. Based on this explanation, this review has the general
objective of knowing the perspective of health professionals and users in
relation to humanized actions and welcoming in the hospital context. To
this end, the research also sought to conceptualize the terms embracement and humanization in health, identify what users mean by
embracement and humanized action and describe the difficulties that
professionals feel in providing humanized care. It is an integrative
literature review, the databases used for the research were: SciELO,
LILACS, MedLine and Google Scholar. The results of the research show
that there is a disparity in the perception of both groups when it comes
to welcoming in the hospital environment and humanized actions in
health, since users understand this process as a personal and empathic
connection, since professionals understand that they must exercise it in
a mechanized and impersonal way as a way of protecting yourself,
reserving your emotions only for yourself, which ends up generating
conflicts, incomprehension and antipathy between both groups.
