Abstract :
In this article, the authors present a proposal for the implementation of an active methodology using the virtual laboratory tool to support engineering teachingat Amazonas State University located in Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil. From the formulation of the learning problem, formulation of the task and following a previously designed methodological guide, the analysis of variables and selection or obtaining the mathematical models of system or equipment to be researched is started, which will allow to conform the simulation schemes to be used.The objective is to demonstrate that, for example, when selecting the energy efficiency parameter, it is feasible to create a tool, employing computer resources, to help students increase knowledge of the contents that involve this term through the practical tools of simulation.
