Abstract :
American Cutaneous Leishmaniasis (ACL) is a non-contagious disease caused by parasites of the Leishmania genus, which is transmitted to humans through the bite of infected animals, commonlybythes and fly. It I sestimated that 350 million people are exposed to risk duet of the following points: deforestation, high rates of population grow than dun controlled urbanization. To know and analyze the incidence of American Cutaneous Leishmaniasis in the Amazon population between the years 2017 to 2021, by health region. This is an integrative review study using secondary sources of national and international data. As inclusion criteria, original articles published in Portuguese, English and Spanish weres elected, and as exclusion criteria, publications that were not in article format, within complete text or written in a foreign language; This study is also a documentary analysis of data published in the bulletins published by the Fundação de Vigilância em Saúde do Amazonas (FVS-AM) and by the Leishmaniasis Surveillance Manual in Amazonas between the years 2017-2021. Lessrecent data werediscarded as they did not provide current information. The statistical analysis of the indicators showed the general total of ACL incidence in the state of Amazonas, showing a decreasing variation in the years 2017 to 2018, and between 2020 and 2021, however, in the year 2018 to 2020 the variation incidence was increasing. The highest prevalence of the disease occurs around the capital Manaus and the Rio Negro. The triangle region has the lowest number of total cases, with minimal variation from one year to the next. Due to the data collected, it was found that the rates of American Tegumentary Leishmaniasis have increased significantly in recent years. Factors such as basic sanitation, epidemiologicaland environmental surveillance, social and political discussion are associated with the worsening of the epidemiological indicators evaluated in the state, between the periods studied.
