Abstract :
Syphilis is an ancient disease that arose in the mid-fifteenth century through the great navigations of the time, formerly syphilis was called Lues Venérea, considered, therefore, a sexual plague. Being highly infectious, caused by a bacterium called "Treponema pallidum", it can be transmitted through sexual intercourse and by contact. Currently it presents in 3 forms, acquired, gestational and congenital. Early sexual initiation can make adolescents vulnerable to sexually transmitted infections due to a lack of information on prevention means. The aim of this research is to analyze the scientific evidence available in the literature on health education as a preventive measure for syphilis acquired in adolescence. This is an integrative review consisting of a bibliographic survey, the bases used in the research were Scielo, LILACS, RESDITE and Anais of CONGREFIP events. Twenty-two articles were selected, studies that are within the inclusion criteria of the research. The others did not correspond to the theme, were duplicated and/or with a year of publication below the established limit, the selection strategy. Through this review, it was evident the difficulty of finding research, due to reduced studies involving health education in the prevention of acquired syphilis for adolescents. This observation is pertinent, due to the need to have reliable scientific data and relevant strategies to be implemented to young people, knowing that the adolescence phase denotes biopsychosocial changes, since educational strategies are fundamental for the knowledge and prevention of this public.
