Conhecimento na Primeira Infância1 | Author Name : | | FRANCISCO KARYVALDO MAGALHÃES SECUNDINO2 | Publisher : | | Bridge Center | Article URL : | | | Abstract : | | The objective of this work is to study the functionality of the
mirror neurons in the knowledge acquisition process, so that a research
was carried out on the relation between this system of neurons and the
acquisition of knowledge in early childhood, period of great neural
plasticity that allows great retention of content. The research
methodology used was the narrative descriptive review of literature with
a theoretical approach, using several bibliographic sources related to the
theme. To this end, the study began with the analysis of the main
theories of classical psychology about human development. Afterwards,
the mirror neuron was studied in detail, from its discovery to its
functions, highlighting its effectiveness in early childhood. Finally, the
main theories about the importance of empathy in the acquisition of
knowledge were analyzed, observing with one of these theses the
possibility of using several teachings not directly related to each other to
truly understand how development and learning takes place at this
stage of life. As a conclusion, the study concludes that the empathy and
healthy relationship with the primary caregivers for the development of
the child is of utmost importance, and the mirror neurons, with their set
of functions, are able to expand and facilitate the capacity to acquire
and conserve knowledge in early childhood, ideal stage for the
development of social and cognitive skills. | Keywords : | | Mirror-Neurons; Child Development; Empathy. |
