Abstract :
The use of computational tools for modeling parts (CAD systems) is a fundamental premise in RD&I research. 3D CAD systems allow you to visualize, analyze and simulate the behavior of the part in question in order to optimize material and costs due to the ease of construction of the digital prototype under real conditions, even before its construction, which facilitates a great saving of time and with that the cycle of prototyping of research results is reduced, this factor directly affects the efficiency of companies. The Finite Element Method (FEM) is one of the processes that has been most used for the discretization of continuous media in recent times, mainly due to the emergence of powerful processors that allow data processing with a high degree of accuracy of these solutions. Its wide use is also due to the fact that it can be applied, in addition to the classical problems of linear-elastic structural mechanics (for which it was the method initially developed), if not also for nonlinear, static or dynamic problems, stiffness problems, fluid analysis, thermal and electrostatic problems, among others. This work presents the result of the 3D drawing of a punch body and its validation by means of simulation via FEM using NX software. The results were validated by FEA analysis and they made it possible to affirm the validity of both the material used and the simulated geometries of the studied body.
